Failure to honor extended warranty on defective printer

Concerning my M452DN Laserjet printer purchased November 18, 2018, less than one year ago, at a cost of $408.56. The printer now is non-functional with a "paper jam" error, when there is no, and has not recently been, a paper jam. I would expect to have years of service from this printer.
 
You are refusing to service the printer now because I told you that I used it for card stock paper. This does not constitute misuse of the printer! Please show me in the manual where it says that card stock paper should not be used. The previous model HP I had, a 1525 handled card stock paper for years with no problem.
 
Furthermore, as you can see from the attached documents, I purchased a 3 year extended warranty at a cost of $119.00. It is OUTRAGEOUS that you will not immediately honor this!
 
Please immediately send out someone to repair the printer, or as you initially indicated send me a refurbished printer for exchange with the defective one.
 
I actually am flabbergasted to have this hassle from you! If you do not quickly resolve the issue to my satisfaction, I will proceed with legal action.

Donating Printer

Where can I donate our old HP LaserJet 4100 series printer?  It still has "Laser ink" (black only) left.  the main paper feeder tray was not working when it was donated to us, but we have used it for many years with the manual feeder (one sheet at a time). This machine is in the NW suburbs of Chicago.

"frozen screen and energy star logo".

Hi,

 

I am facing the same issue "frozen screen and energy star logo".

At same time, printer still connect to wifi network and I can print as well.

 

 

 

I tried all of the options above:

- disconnect power cord for xx seconds

- Firmware update (utility complains that a "Problem found" and can't go further.

 

The only factory reset method I know is via the touch screen... that is not working.

 

Any help will be appreciated

 

I've restarted it several times via the power button and by trying to pull the cord and restart.

 

I've attempted to update the firmware with HP's firmware update utility but it stops with:

 

Problem found:

 

1. Check that your device is: -Connected to your computer, Powered On, Not in an error State

 

Well, it's connected via wireless and powered on but it the screen is frozen. (Is this an error state?)

 

2. Clear any error states

 

3. Click Start Again.

Hello,

 

My client recently bought this printer, and although its working fine, the printing speed is slow. when couple of people send stuff to the printer it takes time to print it all. Is there a way to change printing speed in this printer?

"Document Feeder Empty" - Why am I getting this in my status?

I am having the EXACT same issue, ! After I upgraded my MacBook Pro macOS from Mojave to Catalina, I get the same "Automatic Document Feeder is Empty" when I am not using the ADF to scan. I have reinstalled the Easy Scan app, etc. No luck.

 

My wife did not upgrade to Catalina, and her flat bed scan function via Easy Scan still works flawlessly. That leads me to believe it is an HP/Catalina 10.15 issue.

Same problem. Upgraded to Catalina, and now the scanner refuses to use the flatbed, giving me the "document feeder empty" message instead.

I have tried everything and can not get my printer to work. It says failed validation & when I click on the print doctor it keeps asking me to install even though I’ve done that. HELP! I have a huge meeting tomorrow & need to print ASAP

HP M180 will print only pdf files

Printer was working fine for about 1 year.

Now printer prints only pdf files from my HP desktop computer.

When I use the HP app and select Print Documents, the windows explorer window shows file choices to select as ".pdf" and "Any File .pdf" It won't all me to select "Any File" or list any other types of files to select.

Other computers on my home network can print any file on the same printer using wi-fi.

I have tried unplugging USB and using wi-fi and I get the same result.

I installed another type of HP LaserJet to the desktop and was able to print any file

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling printer, and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

I have looked at Users, and "Full Control" shows for me and admin (also me)

I am trying to replace a Color LaserJet 4700N. I need print quality more than speed or auto duplexing. At least 1200 dpi. What current printer would you recommend. I just tried a M553, but the quality doesn't seem to be the same.

Hello guys I have an hp 1102w laser jet printer. I figured out that it can be wirelessly be connected to a network that is at home. I was successfully able to make one as well. But I wanted to access direct connection to the printer. For that I turned on the direct wireless access option. I was able to take out prints by connecting directly to the printer. The problem that I faced was the wifi that the printer gave had no password set to it. I tried to configure password but there was no option in the wireless direct setup in the EWS (Embedded web service) I want to ask how can I configure a password to my printers hp wireless direct. Also the problem is when I enter 192.168.223.1 after connecting to the printer, the page does not open.

Printer sometimes connects, sometimes it doesn't

Hi, 

 

I have an HP Laserjet 1020. The problem that I am facing with the printer is that sometimes the printer gets connected to the computer and sometimes it doesn't. Once it's connected (and online), then there is no problem with the printer. If the printer is not able to connect, then in that case, no matter how many times I turn the printer on and off, it just doesn't work.  

 

I recently bought a new connecting USB wire as I thought there might be something wrong with the wire. And even with the new wire, I am seeing the same problem. 

 

I should also mention that I have a Mac too. And I'm seeing the same problems even on that machine. 

 

Could anyone tell me what can I do to fix the printer? And whether it can be fixed.

I have a new wifi network and need to reconnect my printer

I have a new wifi network and need to reset my printer, it keeps remembering the old network.So, HP Easy Install can't find it, as it's on a different network..

How can I do a reset?

Any help is appreciated

Scanner not communicating

When we try to scan a document we are getting following error:

Model: HP Color LaserJet MFP M277dw

 

Error: "scanner communication cannot be established."

 

Printer is working fine but scanner nit working. We several times uninstalled and re-stalled but still the problem is same.
