Problem with my HP M477fnw

When ever i start my printer it show initializing...then it says "Recovering from power faulure. Please wait." but nothing happens..even if i restart the machine or replug it after a while..it still says the same thing.


New Ink Cartridges only printing in black

The old ink cartridge ran out of ink (it had been printing fine) I ordered a double pack of new cartridges and they have arrived and are definitely the right ones for the machine but the first one I put in is printing only black so I thought it may be faulty so i put in the secnd cartridge and that has done the same thing. 

 

Any ideas? 

 

Inconsistent acceptance of card paper (M476dw)

Hello,

 

I am trying to print certificates from our office printer, the MFP M476dw, using 200 gsm card stock. The printer successfully printed the first certificate, however, it has started refusing to print on subsequent attempts. The printer is saying there is a jam, but it appears that it gives up rather quickly. 

 

At this point, I have gotten three pages to print, but it is hit-or-miss. Is there a possible solution to get it to print more consistently? 

 

I currently have the printer settings as: A4, tray 1 (manual feed), HP Cover Matte 200g

'Print Error' at startup

My printer workd fine for over 2 years (using wifi connection). I just moved the printer to another room in the house and again connected it through wifi. I tried to print something but got the 'Print Error' message ('Printerfout' in Dutch). There's no errorcode. The message pops up both on the computer and the printer. It just says to restart the printer or contact HP.

 

After the first time I got the error message, it comes up every time I start up the printer (even without a printing task). I can't do anything except turn off the printer.

(Taking out cartridges, turning of power, turning power on after 60 seconds, putting cartridges back in etc...) The error keeps popping up at startup though.

 

I also reinstalled the latest drivers. Is there anything else I can do?

Missing Hardware ID Question

Hello,

 

My computer is showing a Missing Hardware ID error when I start up the computer.  I tried removing the printer from the computer, installed the Intel (R) USB 3.0 drivers on the machine from Dell and the printer driver from HP.  After I reboot the computer, the printer does not work after i reboot the machine.  Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

MFP 477 Print Quality Issue

Our MFP 477 is printing with a bubble that copies text from above in the same documet, I am attaching photos of the repeating bubble. The bubble is circular and appears to copy text about one circumfrance of the roller or fuser above.

I replaced the black cartridge for first time as was empty, followed all steps and got an error. Tried cleaning and hard rest with no results.

HP Envy 4500 Print Jobs not finishing in print queue

The problem is simple. You print a job and it works perfectly. You then try to print another job and nothing happens. When I check the print queue I find that the first job has completed but remains in the queue marked as "printing" and never gets deleted. You can access and flag it for deletion and the status just changes to "deleting" and it never gets deleted!

 

If I go in via Settings, Printers, Manage - I can select "Troubleshoot". If there are two entries in the queue it successfully finds the problem and removes the first job allowing the second to print. Then the problem starts over again!

 

I have tried the following:

  • Removed and reinstalled the printer
  • Removed all the HP software and reinstalled the printer
  • Run HP software diagnostics and updated everything they recommended
  • Downloaded and Installed the full HP Envy 4500 software
  • Run HP Print and Scan doctor 5.0
  • Tried simple printing again and the problem was still there
  • Tried deleting and it just hangs the print job
  • If there are two jobs in the queue, one waiting and one marked as "printing" you can delete the unprinted job but the problem one is still hung and if you use troubleshooter it correctly releases it but releases it for printing again!!!

 

 

Good old Microsoft have been issuing "cumulative " updates and I think HP may need to update their printer drivers or something.

 

 


On/off button not flashing and not printing wirelessly

Ive tried turning it all off and on and the flashing is not happening and nor is any priinting. I have cleared any print jobs but my computer says that the printer is not connected. No idea what to do as new t0 all this. The wfi symbol is showing and all 3 wireless symbols say on - wifi, network wifi and HP eprint. Maybe i dont need all 3 as tried pusjhing thngs to get it to print. Thanks

HP M130FW Laserjet software won't load properly and I cannot print

Hi, I need help.

 

I have a HP Laserjet printer M130fw and I am running Windows 7 64 bit desktop and a Windows 10 64 bit laptop. My printer was working but my hard drive died on the desktop and I had to replace it, which I did with an SSD. I am trying to print through my network as I have more than one PC. At the moment I am trying to get the Desktop to work as at moments Wifi Direct has allowed me to print from my laptop.

 

My printer is connected to the same netowrk as my desktop. I can enter the IP address in a browser on my desktop and see the printer utilities. The software just won't load and it says unknown problem but does not say what? It will load the fax software but not the printer software. On my laptop it suggests (when I got to the same page) that it my be a problem with the firewall but I turned it off and got exactly the same problem.

 

I have done all Windows Updates, turned the compluter off, re-loaded the software (several times), loaded the HP Doctor, but nothing is helping?

Printer and computer will not communicate

When I purchased the printer (within the last year) setup went as expected and printer performed well.  Within the past six months the computer and printer stopped communicating. Printer copies, but will not print from computer. I reinstalled the software multiple times, using both downloads and original disk; also tried Scan Doctor with no luck.  I reinstalled Windows 7, and suddenly the printer was working again. Subsequent to the install and adding all window updates, the printer ceased to print docs.  Just to test to see if the outcome would be the same, I again reinstalled Windows, and the printer worked; i.e., until all updates were installed!

I like this printer, and have purchased 3 of the same model. I would truly like to find a fix for this problem, but if not, I will likely buy another printer.

How to reset a M604 with key code while powering on?

How can I reset an M604 printer to factory default. My client is in another state and the clciked on another language. They can't figure out the language and I tried to walk them through the steps from a main menu. It did not work. Is there a key combo on start up to reset this so I can get english back. It is connected witha USB cable.

Paper Jam message won't go away despite no paper jamed in printer

I have done everything to clear the paper jam including trying to do a reset numberous times and nothing will clear this message.  I am not paying support $20 to help me.  Any suggestions?

M1120 won't print multiple copies

Good afternoon.
 
We have an M1120 running perfectly in the office, and recently installed it on a new computer, which has installed Windows 8.1 Pro 64bits. Before it was installed on another computer, which had Windows 7 SP1 Pro 64bits. This Win7 computer now prints via network share on the Win8 computer.
 
On the Win7 computer, when selecting to print more than one copy, both before and now, printing is done normally, but on the computer with Win8 only prints one copy, regardless of the quantity we set.
 
The printer driver used in the 2 devices is the same, and is the latest available here on the support website. I've tried changing some of the printer settings on Win8, like deselecting multiplexing and Ret, but to no avail (this worked on a friend's LaserJet 1015, which had the same problem).
 
What can we do to print more than one copy to work on Windows 8.1?

HP Connected inaccurately identifies my fnw printer as an fn.

I've been trying to fix the "Toolbox FX has encountered an error" program at startup, thinking that if I found the right firmware/fix updates I would have success.  So,   I started by trying to register my printer at HP Connected.  I was able to get the newly-generated claim code to complete the registration, but the HP website now identifies my printer as a LaserJetPro CM1415fn, instead of an fnw.  How do I get HP Connected to identify my printer accurately?

"Door Open" error light comes on when printer is turn on.

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500A Plus printer in great condition that was recently taken out of storage. When I turn the printer on I get a message that says "Door open". I tried the troubleshooting suggestions but still get the error message. When I take the printer in for serving, are there any other reasons that this message appears other than a door sensor?

HP178 printer cartriges

I own an HP Photosmart 5515 printer and have been using HP178 ink cartridges. I presently live in Egypt and am unable to obtain the HP178 cartridges. I was advised that I can use the HP 364 cartridges in place of the HP178 but have been unsuccessful. I understand that with a small technical adjustment I can use the HP364 cartridges. How do I make the adjustment?
