Printer goes to sleep and is not responsive to print anymore. Led power light is blinking under sleep mode (so it is on). The only way to print is by rebooting the printer and staying on.

Printer will not print but will for others on the local network.
MY HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP 276nw will not print from my Windows 10 computer; however, it will from my wife's Mac and will also print test docs. I went to the HP web site and it automatically reloaded the software. It will que my print jobs but will not print them. It just sits there...like my first wife. The print jobs are sent to the printer via a local network. Any help will be appreciated.

Is there a way to change the default print tray on an HP LaserJet m553n Printer? I have changed the dafault to Tray 2 in my settings, yet whenever I print, the printer gives a message staing I need to load paper in tray 1. How do I get the printer to only use tray 2?

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fn installing on Windows XP Machine
Hello,
Recently printer I was using on my XP machine in comapny died, so I had to buy another HP to replace it.
After trying to install it I got an error:
"The system cannot find the file specified" in windows driver installation wizard.
Steps how I installed drivers:
1. Using provided CD started installation wizard.
2. Wizard requested that I plug in and turn on printer
3. Windows driver installation wizard started
4. After clicking "Next" I get the above mentioned error, and only option I could choose is "Finish"
Scanner was installed correctly and I sucesfully scanned a documents.
While printer cannot be installed and It's giving me the error.
Tried with installation from CD and with Full Setup from HP website.
Got the same thing.
Please advice

Tried by installing on several other XP machines.... failed
Did an installation on Windows 7 and Windows 10 - no problems!

MFP M125nw to many dns requests
My printer is connected by wify to an access point.
I am also the firewall administrator and I notices an abnormous number of connectins (15000 and continues to grow).
They all come from the printer and they are all dns request toward the firwall.
The firewall is also the favorite dns resolver.
I checked for firmware updates.
There's one but doesn't fix any network problem.

Will not print
PRINTER HAS BEEN WORKING THE LAST 2 MONTHS. IT NOW LONGER PRINTS FROM COMPUTER TO PRINTER. THE MACHINE WILL OPERATE TO COPY AND SCAN, BUT NOT PRINT. THE CABLE IS HOOKED UP: I HAVE TURNED THE MACHINE OFF AND UNPLUGGED AND RESTARTED. IT GIVES NO ERROR MESSAGE. IT SHOWS THE PRINT JOB IS PRINTING IN THE QUE AND ALL DATA LOADED - IT JUST DOES NOT PRINT IT.
I HAVE RELOADED THE DRIVERS AND IT WILL PRINT THE JOB. THEN IT WILL CEASE TO PRINT AGAIN JUST AS BEFORE.
IT DOES PRINT THE CONFIGURATION REPORT AND THE TEST PAGE????????????

HP LaserJet Pro 400 M425 Scans gray page
We just upgraded the firmware to 20160224 for our MFP m425, Before we upgraded it we had a problem of a single line showing up on the scan or copy. After upgrading, we have the following situation:
After first power on it works good. after it goes to sleep and wakes up, any scan from the ADF is a full page of gray. In doing research, it seems as if the scanner is not shifting back to the ADF scan position when we scan. It works fine when you scan from the glass, (individual sheets)
When I check for updated of the firmware, it appears as If I have the most recient version.
A service person had no idea how to fix this. Any Ideas?

Status out of paper but it is not out of paper
I rececently was forced [By Microsoft] to upgrade to Windows 10 and now when I try to print I get the "Out of Paper" Status. I followed the HP Customer Support recomendations, i.e. unplug the power cord, leave for 30 seconds, and plug in. Once the printer is ready I requested an offline report which worked perfectly. However when I try to print I get the Out of Paper status. So I would say it is either a driver problem or maybe a Windows 10 problem, either way HELP.

Helvetica Font - HP Laserjet 4200dtn (PCL 6)

When I print from MS Word or MS Excel using Arial, Helvetica doesn't get printed, but Arial does. I checked the following two.
1.) On my computer, I went to Printers and Faxes > Print Options > Advanced. Under TrueType, "Substitute with device fonts" is selected.
2.) On the printer itself, I went to the Information menu > PRINT PS FONT LIST and PRINT PCL FONT LIST. Both lists printed with Helvetica present in them. (And Helvetica printed as Helvetica, not as Arial :-)
I also typed "Helvetica" in the MS Word font field and tried again, to no avail.
Question : What do I need to do to print from MS Office applications, using the printer resident Helvetica font? Note that I am in a work network environment and that this is a network printer, not directly connected to my computer.
Computer : Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Error 49 turn off then on- on a brand new HP MFP M477FNW lasetjet pro printer
I purchased a brand new HP MFP M477FNW Laserjet printer 2 days ago, I tried setting up at home where I have the following setup.
Computer: Macbook Pro OSX 10.11
Network: Wireless SSID, wired, and WPS button
My current setup steps:
Once I turn on the printer set the language, location etc. the printer home screen looks great. I print a usage page and works just fine.
When I add my wireless network, enter the SSID I get a green arrow and confirmation that the printer has connected to the network. From there I try to print a usage page and right away "49 SERVICE ERROR TURN OFF THEN ON" and the printer restarts itself.
I can now see the printer in my "available printers" tab on my mac, when I send a print job- the printer screen changes to "printing" but stays in that screen until I manually reboot the printer. The document never prints and I have to delete the print job from the mac.
I try printing something from my iPhone but I get a similar error: "Unable to connect to printer"
-- Knowing all of this I decide to turn off the wireless on the printer and reset jobs, and restart. works fine again.
Now I plug in the CAT5 network cable and to my surprise all of the problems continue.
I repeat the process for the WPS button connection and receive the same errors.
-- Assuming it must be a hardware error, I exchange the printer at the store for another brand new MFP M477FNW and when I get home to my surprise the problem continues.
Can someone please help me with this issue?

Anytime I print anything, out of Excel or Word, an extra blank page follows the printed page. I ran a diagnostic on the printer. This is something new.

set up cartridges not used
While setting up a new officejet 6830 the set up cartridges were not used but regular cartridges instead. Now when opeing the top the carrier will not return to the middle so that i can replace the cartridges with the set up cartridges. What can i do?

LaserJet printer m277dw Printing so Slow it is painful
I have a M277dw Colour LaserJet Printer. I have installed the latest firmware from April. There is a pause of several minutes before any print takes place. It can take upto 10 minutes. I am running MAC OSX latest version.
Inotially I thought the problem was Wifi so I connected directly using USB. Same problem. I have also bough another - replica printer - and exactly the same problem.
Please can you help with a fix that is obvoiusly a firmware issue.

unable to scan and print 2 sided documents through the ADF
I am trying to scan and print, two sided documents going through the ADF. I have gone through the printer controls to get to the "copy menu" and select two-sided option, press ok. Then looked for "type of copy". The only choices I have is 1 to 1 sided and 1 to 2 sided. According to other posts, there is no "2 to 2 sided" !

Recently,we have purchased a new HP Laserhet Pro MFO M126nw .The catridge came along with the new printer.I need a clarification of HP Laserjet Pro MFP M126nw about the Usage Page.
We want to know how many pages that the printer has taken the printout so far and also how many pages are scanned and the copier has taken how many pages .
I have attached the usage page report for your reference.

I think it has counted only the scanned copies 65.Is it correct?
2.What is Monochrome pages printed from copy=66

Over all ,i think it is showing print,copier,scanned 580 pages.Is it correct.
2.What is jam events?
It is showing 1.

Unwanted characters printing
Somehow, my CP1518ni is stuck printing miscellaneous characters on one or two lines at the top of blank pages and will continue to print until the paper is used up or replenished. It will even print these characters when the printer has been disconnected from my computer.
I've reset the CP1518ni defaults, but that made no difference whatsoever.

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M426fdw - separate drum?
Hi,
I am thinking of buying the HP M426fdw and am working out the costs.
So does this printer have a separate drum that needs to be replaced
or is the drum inbuilt into the toner cartridge.
I once got a dell colour laser printer and eventually had told
I needed to replace the drum which turned out to be expensive.
So I was not sure if this type of part applies to this printer.

I am thinking of buying this printer and am interested to see what people experiences with it?
Any good?
Also how is the Wi-Fi connectivity on the printer.
As I got a cheaper HP printer and had a lot of problems with it failing to connect to the Wi-Fi. Sometimes it would sign in other times in would remain unconnected with auto config type IP address. So interested in how people have found it.
