My M602 goes into checking hardware after 8 of 8 system checks during startup and just spins while the number climbs higher. It was up over 60000 and climbing before I had to shut down to troubleshoot. Have already reseated the formatter board. Any ideas?
I have an M712dn thats making a loud rumbling noise. The Fuser drive gears also seem to be getting eaten up and leaves residue inside the printer. I replaced both the fuser drive gear assembly and fuser assembly, but still have the same issue. Any ideas as to what else may be causing this issue?

Got my printer plugged into an airport express via ethernet cable. Had been working fine. Doesn't work now. When I look at the ethernet connection on the back of the printer, I only see a yellow solid light, sometimes a green light flashes. the printer does not show up in my system preferences to add it.
Here's what I have tried:
Plugged the ethernet cable from printer directly to computer, doesn't work.
Plugged the ethernet cable from printer to airport express, doesn't work.
Plugged a USB cable from printer to airport express, doesn't work.
Plugged a USB cable from printer to computer, it works. This is the only way it works. Not acceptable.
I've used the ethernet and USB cable on a different printer using the same airport express and both work. Go figure. Anyone know what's wrong?

Since I updated to El Capitan my MBP and Printer are having connectvitiy issues ( wirelessly, for now :/ ). I restored to factory defaults but I am not sure that reset the IP. The printer is connected to the network, but my own computer cant even detect the printer....
I am not sure what the fix is, but would llike to start with a Cold Reset. Does anyone know how to do this? Or better yet is there a solution to this?

I have an HP MFP 4555. To use job storage, I connect to the formatter Kingston 120GB SSD (SV300S37A), but when MFP loading a window with an error: Error 98.00.04 Device Error: To continue turn off and then turn on. But it does not help. I install the latest firmware, but the result is the same. What am I doing wrong?

J'ai donc décidé de commander de nouveaux toner, ce n'est pas mieux. Avec le nouveau toner, je n'ai plus de message d'erreur et je peux faire des photocopies mais mon copieur n'est plus reconnu par aucun de mes pcs (que ce soit w7 ou w10). -donc pas d'impression ni de scan-
Même quand je veux réinstaller le nouveau driver, il y a une étape où on nous demande de brancher le cable usb afin que le logiciel HP reconnaît l'imprimante, sa ne fonctionne pas. J'ai essayer un driver générique sa ne marche pas non plus.
Svp dîtes moi ce que je dois faire, je ne trouve pas mais vraiment pas

I replaced the cartridge in a LaserJet 2420dn, and the printer seems to recognize the replacement cartridge, but after a bit, a message appears on the control panel display, "Install black cartridge." At first, I was trying to installed a used (not spent) cartridge that had been installed in a 2430dtn. I then tried a new cartridge with the same result.
With a quick search, I found the following recommendation for this problem:
I removed the left cover on the 2420dn and the grounding contact lever / assembly appears to be in order. I also removed the left cover on the 2430dtn for comparison's sake. With the left cover removed, I removed and installed several different cartridges and observed the ground contact--it appears to make a solid connection to any of the cartridges installed.
If I re-install the originally installed cartridge (has some life remaining), the cartridge is recognized correctly and I can print. All other cartridges I've tried result in the "Install black cartridge" message.
The 2420dn has the latest firmware available, 08_120_4.
A few questions:
Any ideas what might cause this and what is a good next step for troubleshooting or eliminating certain problem sources?
When a cartridge is installed in a printer, does the printer store anything in the cartridge memory that could "lock" the cartridge to that specific printer? I've never heard of this and I don't really think that's what is happening here (I also tried a new cartridge), but had to ask... :-)

I have a LaserJet P3015 and I can not get it to print. It was printing from a stand alone PC connected through a USB cable. It was printing fine now it stopped printing and I can not get it to print. THe communication light does not blink and it goes right to error.
All pages print with a dirty black smear on the right side of the page (about half an inch). This includes page quality reports, so that makes the computer I'm using irrelevant. Someone said they changed the black last Friday, and started noticing the issue today.
Running a Clean operation didn't change anything, although the Cleaning Page was not "dirty" at all. I did notice the issue listed here, and followed the instructions. It will be 48 hours before I can check again if it's fixed, but I wanted to run it through here to see if anyone else has seen this.

Needing help identifying monochrome laserjet models that allow "Labels" as a media type in trays other than 1. Purchased an M402 only to find this limitation after the fact. We're replacing older 4350tn units, and would like something of similar capacity, quality, capability. My recollection is that defining a tray as "Labels" in the menus will alter fuser temp and page speed, to prevent sticking to rollers, etc.
So far, reviewing user guides for other models does not yield an unambiguous answer.
There is no place near a phone plug to put my printer, nor is rher a good place to put my answering machine/phone near my printer.
I had a 50 foot line to my old HP printer/fax which worked fine. This printer says "No Dial Tone Detected" and does not work.
Placing a phone on the line works fine. I hear dial tone and phone makes calls.
hey I'm having a really hard time getting the HP Laserjet p1102w set up wirelessly. I'm using 3 laptops, Windows 8 windows 10 and a Mac 10.8 I've installed the software thru USB on the two Windows, however the Mac wont recognize the device. The issue is that when going thru the insall it never prompted me to select wireless. So it\ll work when plugged into usb on the two windows laptops, but not wirelessly. I've tried removing the drivers several times and even installed them from the website but nothing has changed. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

We here at the hospital have a good number of HP Pro 400 color printers. The issues we are having has to do with blotches going down the right margin of the paper and sometiens on the left margin. Seems like it will not clear up until we replace all the toners, not just the one causing the issue. I must be missing something in my diagnostics. Any answers to this issue?

Even when printing a test page from my Windows print server, I receive the page stating:
User: admin account
Host: Print Server name
Filename, etc.
