I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and now hp officejet 4630 does will not print wierlessly or connected. when i search for updates i get the error message

"• HP - Printers - HP Officejet 4630 series - Error 0x80240017"

I've "retried a few times" but it still does not recognize the printer. Even when i attempted to go through hp assistant, it did not recognize my printer.

Please help. Im a writer, student, and content provider, having a working printer is crutial to me.

I have a macbook pro 10.6 and I have tried to print on a HP Envy 7640e and cannot get it to print. Can someone take me through the steps I am so frustrated!  When I try and set  up the printer  it does not show the envy 7640, so how do i do it? my desktop mac can print from it. I need someones help!

I can't open the "HP Easy Start" download because it says that I have no application to open it.  What software am I supposed to have to open it. 

Does anyone know how to change an email address in a Photosmart Premium 309a.  I've tried everything I can find on the internet and can't find anything for this model.  I have changed email addresses and can't email from the printer because it uses the old account.  How do I reset it? 

I have tried to print my documents to no avail.  Nothing prints; I've tried test pages, word documents, etc.  I've followed so many directions that now I am totally confused.    When I go to print devices everything is as it should be.  I even tried to add a new printer and it WOULD NOT print either.  I need help--PLEASE!

I was running windows 8 when the windows 8.1 update recently broke my printer driver.  I am using the all-in-one c4700 series (c4795). I am now on windows 10, but have not found a way to resolve my issue.  The printer will no longer connect wirelessly. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled numerous times now. I have tried the Install Wizard and Scan Doctor. Neither have fixed my issue. The printer installs and only works with the USB connected now - otherwise it says offline. I have tried clicking USB to Network and reinstalling wirelessly only, but it now says "service does not exist for this device". Considering that it is a wireless printer, I have no idea what that means. Can anyone help me correct this? I am beyond frustrated that this has happened and has now taken so many hours to try to resolve.

My HP computer Envy Phoenix 810-470pc will print, and fax, but will not scan my HP 5740, I can scan from the printer and send it to the computer, but cannot scan from the computer, I reinstalled the software, and hooked it up by way of usb, but it still doesn't work. Windows 10.

Hi: We have in our store 5 of HP 3005 model printers.  The disk that came with this printer a few years ago believe is or not had no support for Winows 7 on it.  I always have a heck of of time loading in the driver and software for this printer on a NEW pc.  I was wondering if anyway had any helps or suggestions in loading this printer into my enviroment - windows 7 64 bit.  I downloaded the zipped file park-v1.7.8 which I believe was under software universal print driver - it was called HP Resource Administrator Kit - which I don't know if I install that first - second - or if i need it at all.  The second file I downloaded was the upd-pcl6-x64-6.0.0.18849 which is the Driver - Universal Print Driver.  It gets confusing because this printer gets plugged into a USB port - yet - in the settings it gets called an IEEE , what ever that is.  I am just looking for what I should to do install this on a NEW PC.  What are the steps.  I ask because I bought a PC before and I kept getting the BSOD and helpers kept saying it was a hardware issue - and some pointed to the HP device.  So, maybe I didn't install it right - SO - this time I want to do it right.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Oh ny the way the new pc will be a HP as I finally gave up on DELL stuff - Thanks Dave

My HP Deskjet 3520 will not power up. When I press the power button the small screen does not light up. If I disconnect the power cable at the back of the printer and plug it in again, when I press the power button the small screen lights up briefly for 2 seconds and then goes out. Several attempts produce the same result, but the printer will not stay on. I have checked the cable and plug and it is fine.

The printer is 2 years old.

Could it be a problem with the AC Power adapter, than can be removed easily. Is there anything else I should try before I buy a new power adapter (transformer)?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my printer won't install properly. I have tried both the default installer and using the Add Printer Wizard neither correctly install the printer. With the default installer I have tried running it as adminstrator but still no luck. During installation attempts I have uninstalled and rebooted to completely remove any lingering files.

The installer does create a printer but as seen below only allows me to scan files.

When running the Add Printer Wizard I get an access denied message as shown below with or without the device plugged in.

This message only appears for printers in the HP manufacture setting as shown below. Printers from other manufactures install fine even though I dont have the device.

In the device manager when viewing hidden devices one part of the printer appears as other devices whilst parts appear under image devices and IEEE 128.4 compatable printers. This can be seen below.

When trying to update driver I get the image below saying access is denied.

Any ideas or thoughts would be great thanks.

Just a small update Windows  Update just tried and it failed images below.

Brand new PC, brand new first installation of Windows 8.1 64 bit with all updates, activated. Language locale is Serbian.

After OS installation just CCleaner, Adobe Reader, 7-zip, Firefox, Chrome, and Gemalto card reader drivers are installed.

No antivrirus software installed yet.

As the installation begins, after ten or so seconds it stops with message (translated from Serbian):
"Printer Software Installer has stopped" .

I think the exe has gone through the "Preinstalling the drivers" state.

I am trying to set up my new printer and I did download the software but when trying to install it quits.

My HP home computer went close to belly up a couple of years ago, but could only utilize the wifi print if I hooked up my D110 to it.  My question is, can I hook up my printer to laptop so that I may scan documents to it, or better yet, can I scan wirelessly to my laptop?

How can I hook up my printer so that I don't need my "home computer"?

I moved from France to Canda with my printer hp5520.

The cartridges in France was 364, and in Canada there are 564.

My printer gives me a error message as the cartridges are uncompatibles.

I have read some post I have to  modify the setting or reset the printer but I have tried to puch on the return button but nothing happend.

I need to scan a document and the printer is not recognised either by trying to scan through HP Printer Assistant or by using the menus on the printer.  

The error is "The HP Officejet 4630 series was not found"

On the printer I get "There is no application registered for this event" in windows 10 and the printer/scanner says "Connection Error".

Note, I can print OK. Scanning will not work at all. 

I bought HP printer 4630 e-all-in-one printer less than a year ago, everything seems working fine until 2 months ago.   Each time I print, only half page was printed and the rest is blank and stuck in the printer.   

I tried to un-install and reinstall the program again but did NOT solve the problem.  Any one has any suggestions?

Hello, i just purchased the envy 4500, went through all the set up steps, and i keep getting a paper jam message. what i noticed is that the roller does drop down and contact the paper, but the roller does not spin. i did the hard reset, as well as cleaning all the rollers and gears and still nothing. printer is brand new out of the box and did a full inspection with a flashlight and did not see any debis anywhere. any suggestions would be helpful
