Hi! Wondering if anyone can help me.

 

I have a MacBook Air and I'm trying to connect to the HP LaserJet CP1025nw color printer. My MacOS is the Catalina 10.15.3.

 

And it seems that HP/printer does not have an updated driver for Catalina 10.15.3.

 

I checked on the HP website and the printer model does not support ePrint on Catalina.

 

Wondering if anyone can advise me how might I get the printer connected? Any updated driver that I can download from?

Wants to print to pdf, not printer

Everytime I open a pdf file to print, even though the printer is selected it wants to save the file as a pdf instead of printing the document.  What the H*** is going on?

After inserting new cartridges the front door on the printer will not close completely - on the right side when facing the front of the printer.  I can't see any broken pieces.  The printer is a duplex printer.

LaserJet Colour M251n Long Password Accepted Do Not Function

When setting and Administrative password in the web interface with a 20 character alpha-numeric password I find that the password set is not accepted after being saved.

 

The interface advises that any user name can be entered when the password is saved, so I have tried a variety of combinations of username with the password and am unsuccessful logging in with Edge or Chrome. In Internet Explorer the prompt goes further by specifying no username is required but still rejects the password.

If I truncate the password set to 16 chars it is accepted, so I find myself wondering why the web UI does not warn when the password is being set that this is the case and it is limited to first 16-chars.

Secondly a password character limit would imply the password is not being hashed on the device, is anyone able to advise if this is the case or if this is a bug?

If it sounds like a bug is it something that stands a chance of being fixes?

I have a new Lenovo laptop and it won't print to any of my printers.  That includes printing to PDF or Document Writer etc.  It tells me it has experienced an unexpected configuration problem 8x8007007e.   I google that and I'm told to type spool in the Run box and then look for drivers.  I type spool in the run box and there is no driver folder.    I can print from programs that are actually on the computer.  It appears to just be pages and information on websites that I can't print.  Can anybody give me any advice on fixing this?  Thanks

Toner flaking off page

Hello HP Community,

 

Recently my laser printer did not fully print the image on part of the page. As you can see from the attached image, the toner did not bond with the page, it looks like the toner is flaking off the page. This is only happening on specific part of the page. How can I remedy this issue? Thank you in advance.

Hello all,

 

I have asked this before and didn't get an answer other than to contact support. I cannot get support as a lot of the printers for our clients are out of warranty and they do not have a vendor to refer to.

 

I have dozens of Laserjet printers that are showing up on Qualys scans that the TLS renegotiation is a vulnerability.

 

I have tried disabling the weaker TLS versions and also updated the printers to the latest firmware available but still, the scan returns hits on these printers, I assume for the web interface.

 

Is there anyway to combat this? Some of the printers do not have the wizard available for me even look in to the settings or disable anything.

 

Any one else dealing with this at all?

How do you turn off the extra data sheet the printer prints after every print job. It displays your name, date and time the document was printed, number of pages, approximate number of words on the document,etc.

Solution for HP Single Cartridge Printing mode on Windows 10

I ran in problem in one of my two ink cartridges. 

 

When I removed this one and tried to print using single cartridge mode, iit did not work. The document remains stuck in queue. The queue shows messages like "No Ink /No Toner" or "User Intervention  is required" in the header.

 

I am using windows 10. . It was clear that the issue was on Windows 10 itself and not printer. 

 

When using the option of printing from Printer menu , it worked. 

 

In windows 10, When printing from option : "settings"` -> "Printers and Scanners" -> <Your printer name> -> "Manage device"  -> "Run the troubleshooter", The troubleshooter can print.

 

However printing test pages does not work because it use same Windows queue for printer that is not working in first place. 

 

I saw many posts without real solution. 

 

I fixed it using HP software "HP Print and Scan Doctor".

It resolved the issue. After the issue was resolved, Whenever I print, I get a message complaining about printing in single cartridge mode which I need to acknowledge by pressing OK.

Can't connect printer to ANY computer!!

I cannot get my printer software to update on ANY of our 6 computers!  It has an error and, no matter what I try, I cannot get it to update and, therefore, I can't print!  It's not my network, it's not the security software - it HAS to have something to do with the stupid update from Microsoft, I'm guessing.  

Brand New HP Laser Jet Enterprise M607 Prints with Black Page

We have a brand new HP Laser Jet Enterprise M607 printer - it's not even connected to a network. I tried to get it connected to the network with tech support back in late December but the tech was having issue . I was able at the time to print out the configurations settings etc. and we went back and forth for about an hour - he was not able to get it done. I was out on leave for 6 weeks came back and no one bothered to try to get it connected. Now I'll like to try again with tech support and to get ready I went to print out the configuration settings once more so I can call tech support but now when it prints, its a black page.  It''s brand new I'm not even sure why it's already an issue. It has not been used at all besides to print out the configuration page back in late December. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue please? Thanks in advance!

New Printer Cartridge issues

I just installed a brand new printer cartridge and it prints with vertical black lines on the pages. I took it out and re-installed it.same thing. Anyone know what is causing this?

vertical streaks

I have a m375nw that has started printing vertical streaks on the pages, top to bottom. The first page of a multi-page print comes out clean or almost clean, the second with light streaking, and the rest with progressively worse streaking.... until the printer goes thru a cleaning cycle, and then the process starts all over with streaking about the same as the second page. The streaks appear to be black, but it could be all the colors printing together as well. My black is at 75%, and colors are all 90%. Could I have a bad toner cartridge? Does the printer need a good cleaning? And if so, how might I go about cleaning it? Thanks in advance.

Ink Smearing on Right Side of Page

For the past several years, I have noticed smearing on the right side of all of my documents making some of the text illegible. I have done a cartridge clean multiple times without success. I have attached a copy of the print quality page and an example of the smeared text. Is this just a single cartridge issue? Multiple cartridges? Something else?
