Sad though this is to admit, when I installed my printer a couple of years ago I set a network password on it. Unfortunately, I seem to have no record of what it is, and having tried variations on the things I thought it was, I'm not having any joy. The question therefore, how can I reset the printer to factory defaults to reset the assigned password? I've checked the manuals but can't seem to find a way to do so, their only advice is to write it down in a safe place! lol
Reset assigned password on HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
Driver PC vs driver Mac
I connected my laserjet CP1025nW to a PC-Windows 10 by USB. After updating the firmware to LJCP1020_FW_Upgrade-20180302. I managed to print correctly. I note that the Windows version of the driver offers us many more possibilities for adjusting colors than the driver on Mac (which offers practically nothing). Printing on Mac Mojave, using the Apple Photo application, works, but gives me super saturated and dark colors (dominant blue tint). And no way to make corrections. It would be useful to update this driver for Mac.

M28w Admin password doesn't work anymore
Hello everybody,
I've chosen an admin password in the Advanced Settings (System > Administration). Furthermore I switched HTTPS Enforcement on and PJL Security. Now the system isn't accepting my password anymore, however I am typing it in correctly. I've also used "admin" as user-name. Maybe the solution is to reset the device?
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance!

HP M553 prints 2nd page with wrinkles like accordion when using paper feed on side
When printing from the side manual feed paper tray the first page prints good but second page prints with tons of wrinkles. Looks like an accordian. Also noticed on first page the upper left corner is bent down after printing.
Loud grinding noise when printing
Hello, I have a brand new HP Color Laser MFP 178nw. I've just unpacked and installed it. It came with cartridges preinstalled. However, when I want to print, it produces a very loud noise, as that of clicking plastic gears.
I tried to print several test pages. Some came out properly, despite the noise. Some caused a paper jam. In two instances, several pages of paper were used. It seems other people have had the same problem with other or older printers, but mine is brand new. What could be the cause?
Thanks in advance
HP Envy 5661
I have an HP Envy 5661. When I send work to print, it "pretends" to print, but the pages come out blank. The ink cartridges are full. I have rebooted it and nothing. Let me know what you think it could be. Thank you.
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw wlan printing issue
Hello,
I've some issues with HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw. It is setup to work in WLAN network. The printer works fine for a few minutes after it is turned on. Afterwards, all documents hang in the printer queue with the status "printing". It happens on all PCs I own. I've tried to:
- Reinstall the drivers and HP software
- Run windows troubleshooting,
- Run HP Print and Scan doctor,
- Update firmware.
So please do not produce generic responses with above-mentioned advises.
The problem is not related to printer entering low power mode. I setup the printer to wait 60 minutes and allowed wake up from all possible sources. Printer stops responding after 3-5 minutes.
What is surprising, if I use HP smart tool to print a demo page or a report it works immediately and every time. No matter how many documents hang in the printer queue. This makes me believe that the problem is related to the drivers. I'm not sure how HP Smart prints, but I would wager that it could't print if my issue was related to networking or low power mode. If I try to print test page via windows printer properties it doesn't work and queues like all other documents. So I guess HP Smart tool accesses the printer in a different way then windows printing queue.
Edit
I noticed that documents left in the queue are printed correctly after power cycling the printer.
Scanning problem
My printer is hooked up to our home net work with an ethernet cord. I can print to it easily, but scanning requires running the HP print Doctor 5.0.6 nearly every time I want to scan. I've re-installed the software yesterday and that didn't improve the scanning. If I select the window Scan option it seems to work if I lay items on the flat bed of the scanner, which works only for a single page. I'm trying to use the SP LaserJet MFP M227 HP Scan on my desktop to perform the scan when I encounter these problems.
m102w jams everytime
Hi
My almost new HP Laserjet pro m102w printer jams immediate whenever I try to print. The printer worked initially when we bought it but has always made a lot of noise when turned on. When trying to print the paper jams immediately on the left side of the lead edge of paper about 2 cm from the left corner, there is a black plastic plate there so I can't see what is going on.
Any idea or instruction on replacement wold be very appreciated.

HP MFP M281 FDW does not wirelessly print from Apple MacBook Air
My NEW HP MFP M281 fdw will not reliably print from the MacBook Air... prints from my iPhone just fine.
- I reinstalled the HP Smart software
- I recently updated to Catalina from Mojave, neither work(ed) with the printer
- i've rebooted, etc.
- the printer is 1 room from the router, 4 iPhones, 3 laptops, and my previous 6 year old printer ALL work wirelessly from this room just fine.
Very fruststrating.... there is no reason for this. How was this not vetted during the introduction of this printer, when a huge population of users have Apple products?
Can someone please tell me what card stock I can use with the Samsung SXC-3200 ?
Hi All, I can see from the manual that I can use cardstock with this printer but not a clue what the highest gsm/paper weight is.
I tried to use 350gsm but it is fair to say it was too thick to wrap around the printing spool. Any help would be great as I am really stuck on this.

Printer shuts down nearly every time I try to print or scan
Hi,
I've just bought an OfficeJet Pro 8024 printer and it shuts down nearly every time I try to print or scan. I have managed to print and scan from it, but more often than not it just tries to shut down. I've tried all sorts to fix it - unplugging the printer for at least 60 seconds, updating it (it was already up to date so there were no updates), manually entering the IP address. Nothing has resolved the problem so far. I've also turned off schedule on/off and auto-off is set to after 4 hours.
It also doesn't actually shut down; it just stays on the 'shutting down' message indefinitely. I have to switch it off at the wall or lift the lid of the scanner for it to actually shut down, and when I switch the plug back on, I usually have to lift the lid of the scanner for it to reboot. But then when I try to print or lift the lid to scan something, the 'shutting down' message appears again. The power button doesn't work when trying to turn it on/off.
For extra info, there are no error messages or driver changes, and I have a wireless internet connection. It's also plugged directly into a wall outlet. However, when something is in the print queue, it sometimes says that the printer is not connected. Note it only tries to shut down when I go to print or scan; it's fine when navigating the options on the printer's screen.
I'd really appreciate someone's help with this as it's incredibly frustrating and making it very hard for me to get work done.
Many thanks.
Blank copies
When I try to copy either from the ADF or on the glass the copies come out blank. Documents are placed face down on glass and face up on ADF. I do notice that the light does not come on when the scanner is moving. Latest software and firmware are installed. Could the bulb be bad?
Cannot print custom size envelopes
I have switched to a Laser Jet and I cannot get a custom size envelope to print. I need to print about 100 envelopes and the envelope comes through, but it is blank. This is very frustrating.
M452 PCL-6 Streaks on output
HP Color Laserjet Pro M452 PCL-6:
Wireless connection only; no direct connection
The printer functions fine in black except for the output. That is, feeding, starting, multi-page Word printouts, portrait or landscape..... With my problems I haven't tried the color output recently but I don't restrict the output to be ONLY B/W.
Each page (one-side or two-sided) of typical 11x8.5" white 20# paper has five (5) streaks with each streak about a couple millimeters wide separated by about 1.25" to slightly less than 2". Each streak of a couple millimeters has a left & right thin line looking like railroad tracks without the connecting bars between the left & right track Sort of like | | but no crossbars. The streaks start at the top of the page and go to the bottom covering the entire page (sheet) - edge to edge.
There appears to be some relationship to the lightness to darkness on the page and thickness. Essentially, as you go from the left to the right the ink gets darker and thicker but the center of the page is definitely darker and thinker.
I can read the text of what I want - normally - but it looks terrible to handout at a professional meeting or pass out to associates etc.
What options do I have? Boat anchor to what? 😉
Should I 'tear it apart" and clean it?
FWIW, my toner is getting low if it helps.
TIA
wireless printing
In recent months, my OfficejetPro 8620 responds to print commands from desktop Mac via wireless connection only about one out of ten times, with frequent delays. Icon displayed next to Dock Printer icon/window is yellow-triangle-exclamation-mark. Messages within printer status box vary; may say "connected to printer", "unable to connect to printer", "printing", "unable to get printer status", etc. Need help with how to resolve problem or work-around.
