Hi, can you kindly recommend a type or brand of paper I can use to make printed labels? i need to make some labels for spice jars in my kitchen. I read somewhere that home printers don't print well on glossy paper, is that true?
Also, does HP have software available to ensure the image prints onto the centre of the image?
(I never imagined creating simple labels could be such a confusing job)

I purchased P2035 printer, I found the printer come with GDI driver, where the application iI am usuing is desinged to print on PCL, I google the problem and found some people claims the printer is not comapatible for PCL5 or PCL6,
I would like to hear if some had tried PCL deiver with P2035 ptiner. or if some can suggest me a solution.
When i Print it any text in Ms Word 2010 get it easily, but when i print it any text or page in Ms Excel 2010 it does not print any page, when i type command Ctrl+P and installed printer does not select in the dialog box, while it shows that printer is ready in the list of installed printer. How can resolve this issue?
Hello,
I have using my M176n for quite a while without any problems. All af a sudden it prints one job and then according to the printer status in Windows goes offline. The printer itself says it's ready and waiting for the next job. All that helps is a restart of the printer. Then the same cycle repeats itself. It's connected via cable the the network. I can connect via the browser and see status of the printer, but the HP Print and Scan Doctor says it can't connect.
Anyone has any ideas?

We are facing a Sudden Strange Problem with HP Printer Interface!
We have Developed our Microcontroller Application Software for Printer Interface With Kinetis K70 Controller+USB Stack v4.1.1. for HP Laser Jet Printer, Model: P1606dn. This S/W & Printer was working Allright till 15 Days Back, we could print!
Suddenly same Software is Not able to recognize this HP Printer, since Printer USB enumeration is not getting complete!
This HP Laser Jet Printer P1606dn is working Fine when interfaced to PC , indicating Printer is OK!
This HP Laser Jet Printer P1606dn enumerates as Composite Device , When Connected & Analysed with USB Analyzer!
Please advise how to force this to simple Printer instead of Composite Device so that our USB Stack - Host can handle without issues?
We are Not sure ( As What USB Device this Printer was enumerating Before? ) , when our S/W Was working with this printer?
We feel Printer Firmware got updated automatically and we have No means to Downgrade to Earlier Firmware Versions!
Please suggest How to Downgrade Printer Firmware to Lower Versions?
Your Advise would be greatly appreciated to Fix this issue!

I have two HP Laptops and two HP Printers. I was having problems with
my newest HP OfficeJet pro 6978. trying to correlate pages when
printing.
I tried for three days to get help from your web site. They couldn't
even tell me what my serial number was. It shows one in the printer and
a different one on the HP site. After spending many hours trying to get
my problem fixed I signed up for HP care smart friend. for the one year
program. I called them and they even signed onto my computer a number
of times but were unable to solve my problem. They would tell me that
this printer will not correlate . I told them it had before but won't
do it now. Upon checking my CC I see where they charged me twice on
the same day for 52.99 I called to cancel the program and was told that
I must have ordered it twice. I didn't Then they told me once was for
the yearly service and once was for the one time help. I never signed
up for the one time help. Upon checking today I see that they never
even gave me any credit. I had purchased HP products because of the
superior customer service. This is a thing of the past with HP. I
called twice about canceling the service and the first time I was told
someone would call me back the following day. They never did because
they didn't even have my phone number correct. The second time they did
call me back but never gave me a credit.n

Device has no errors that are reguarding scanning. If you are to scan say 6 pages the first is perfect and following pages degrade to the point that page 6 is blank. I have the most current version of firmware on the device as well as replaced mylar film and have done three scanner calibrations in a row with 0% change in scanned image quality. Also have adjusted background sharpness and other image setting with no change in image quality.
When trying to authenticate genuine HP color toner cartridges, fails and says "We are unable to access the internet to authenticate your cartridge". Connections are all wired Cat5. Everything is up and running well. When trying to re-download and reinstall the authentication software, (www.hp.com/go/tonercheck) link takes us to the HP "Oops Page".
My HP p2035 prints by itself and when it wants an HP Laserjet P2030 series Newsletter on environmental impact (always the same) resulting in paper and toner waste. How I can get rid off?

Was making noise while printing removed all the cartridges and drum to inspect found out it is that depatchable moto that drive the cartridge losed it saw that one of the turn is broken fix it back started displaying 10.1000 supply memory error only yellow cartridge display other three displaying ? .

I have the most frustrating with expereice with HP printer that live it's own life and pushing for years to replace toners and refusing to print. I have a small consultancy business and do not use so much of printing, but when I do need a print I never know what mood is my printer today!!...
Yesterday I have relaced a black toner that was low, but I lived 6 months printing quite a few pages since I got the first message to replace it. It is not sustainable and extremly frustrating, especially for a Mac user - never HP printer again with absence of support and program assistance are for PC ONLY and no live connection.
After black toner was replaced, a new Magent toner turned to be low, that is 10% and will be enough for my levle of printing for another year. However, I can't print remotely a single page with a new toner that costs as small Brother printer... and I can only copy documents.
Please help me to get out of this HP digital mess if you know what to do with it.

When I print a B&W dcoument I get faint colors across the page the length of the page BUT NOT WITH ALL B&W DOCUMENTS. It's more pronounced on the edges running the length of the page (portrait). Color documents come out very "unclean". I've inherited this machine and notice that there are NON-HP color toner cartridges but an HP B&W cartridge.
Is there a drum that needs replacing or a fuser assembly? Would you replace those items in addition to the NON-HP cartridges?
I've had an HP LaserJet Pro 400 M451dn printer for just under 3 years and up to a couple of weeks ago it was behaving fine.
Recently, it has started giving an error message "79 Error turn off and on" with some, but not all, files that I try to print.
Turning the printer off and on doesn't help (i.e. I'm still not able to print the 'difficult' file).
I've searched for this error and found some suggested solutions that are several years old. I can't find a new version of firmware on the HP site (my printer has a version from 07/18/2012).
Any suggestions?
The control panel on my LaserJet CM1312nfi MFP is blank. Rebooting did not resolve the issue. Unable to print, scan, copy or fax. Need to know if there is a fix before investing in a new printer.
I wanted to post this here incase someone runs into a similar issue. The M477 would print black and white perfect, but when printing anything in color it would add an array of horizontal rainbow colored lines. It would do this printing reports/demo pages directly from the printer, so I knew it was driver related. I updated the frimware which didn't resolve the issue.
Solution: Faulty Cyan toner cartridge. I replaced all the toner cartridges individually to determine which one was malfunctioning.
Office printer keeps stopping after each copy, even when multiple copies of the same document are requested.
New printer. Images are too magenta. Tried new cartridges, HP and other. Loaded new firmaware. Calibrated. Tried different drivers on different PC's. Printed direct from USB. Various images. Always too much magneta. Do I send this back?
I have bought toners for my printer but they were taken from a broken printer. Their chip says they are full but I want to know how can I check the toner level apart from the chip which there is a possibility was taken from other toners.
