Having upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, I found that the software provided with my Officejet 7210 was incompatible, so I downloaded the most recent version from the HP website. The install failed and despite trying everything that is suggested numerous times and getting referred to different parts of the HP support sites, each of which pretty much suggesting the same thing, I could not get the full install to work, each time it completed the final product configuration stage but then seemed to hang eventually telling me the install had failed and giving no code.
Having read a similar issue on here I tried installing each element separately and have identified that the problem is the Solution Centre, which initially failed to install, installed successfully the second time I tried, but does not work, I just get a box coming up saying the ‘device installation is not complete’. Any help, other than the standard stuff on the HP sites would be most welcome!
