My HP photosmart c6180 has been showing a paper jam error, though there is no paper jam. This was not prompted by any real paper jam, btw.
I have checked back and front with a flashlight. There is no paper stuck anywhere. I wiped the rollers with a dampened cloth. I check the paper sensor flag, it is moving, as well as the cartridge which also moves. I've disconnected the power cord many times.
It's been showing this paper jam on startup for a little while now, and usually if I push ok it goes away and works normally. Now it is stuck in the paper jam mode.
When it starts, it does make strange clicking noises, if that's of any help.
Before I consult Office Max about servicing, is there anything else I can try to reset it?
