I don't have wireless connection and cant send a fax from my laptop using hp solution center

I have the following configuration:

• HP notebook Compaq Presario CQ61
• windows 7 64 bit
• officejet 6500 wireless e709n series
• hp solution center it is installed on my laptop.

I have 2 problems:

1. I can communicate with the officejet only with cable, the wireless option does not work. I removed and installed the printer a few times it didn't solve the problem.
2. i can't send a fax from my laptop. i select the print option and that the "officejet 6500 wireless e709n series fax" but nothing happened.  I can't do it wireless connection or with USB wireline connection.

The other 2 functions print and scan works fine (still I need to connect via a usb cable)

Please help.
