I am hoping to continue using my HP DeskJet722c printer with my new Lenovo C460 computer. Since the printer has only an IEEE-1284 parallel port, I purchased an Inland Pro USB Parallel Converter cable.
The cable works fine with my old computer running Windows XP--no setup or printing issues. The new computer recognizes the printer immediately and loads the HP DeskJet 720c driver, but it steadfastly refuses to print.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, run the HP troubleshooter utility (no issues found)--all with no success.
I'll buy a new printer if I have to, but I detest disposing of perfectly good hardware. Heck, I had just bought new printer cartridges.
My first time posting, anywhere. Interested to see what comes back. Thank you.
