My printer was happily working away, connected to the desktop pc via network cables to the router, and to the laptop pc wirelessly, via the router.
Then... I undertook the English process of humiliation and frusration known as "changing your ISP"... Followed by weeks of no broadband, broken promises from Virgin Media, connection to the web via expensive use of mobile phones, etc...
At the same time, the printer stopped working: Whilst the printer light does come on, the touch screen is blank /black, and nothing prints. Jobs just sits in the queue, until cancelled.
I presumed this was because the network wasn't working, even though the router was still on (just no broadband coming in). So I tried connecting the printer via a usb cable: the pc couldn't see it, so didn't connect.
So, no broadband, no printer, big phone bills... Help please!
(And if you're any good at laying cables between the pavement and my house, come round now!)
James.
