I'm on Windows Vista with an HP Officejet Pro 8500 909a. Several weeks ago, I tried to use Photosmart for the first time ever, and hit a problem, so tried to uninstall the printer and reinstall to get around the problem. The install would never go through completely, so now I can copy or print, but I've lost the scan feature on the 8500 (it had been working just fine all along). Now when I click on HP Solution Center, I get a message saying that the installation is not complete an directing me to the help feature on the computer. I can no longer get back to the download I was using on the HP website, so am stuck with no Solution Center access, and no ability to scan. I'm afraid to do much else for fear I'll lose the ability to print and copy too, but I desperately need the scan feature again. Any ideas?
