I recently purchased an HP 7520 Photosmart printer. It performs all the features and tasks (e.g. prints, faxes, scans, prints photos, etc).
The problem I have relates to "sleep mode' and "wake up"
The printer continues to power down (screen goes black), and the only way to "wake it up" is to physically unplug it from the wall ac outlet, and plug it back in, use of the power switch does not work, and the front panel is not responsive (very annoying). I tried re-setting the sleep mode preferences and the auto off modes, but the problem still persists.
I called HP, and they told me it was a "hardware" problem, and I returned the unit to Staples where I purchased it,in exchange for a new unit, and guess what, THE SAME PROBLEM persists. My suspicion is that it really is not a hardware problem since every unit I bring home has the same problem.
Has anyone else seen this problem, and if so, is there a solution?
