I have had my HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 for almost 3 years. I used it successfully even after I purchased a pc with Windows 8 in April. About 2 weeks ago I started to lose wireless connection to the printer and was unable to print unless I rebooted my computer and the printer. I downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor app and it told me to install a new print driver. I did so and it worked ok for about 10 days. Now I get messages when I try to print that say print error but no error appears on the screen of the printer. Even when I reboot the printer won't connect and allow me to print. Nothing is getting to the print queue. I have two other people who also connect to this printer wirelessly, one on a Windows 7 machine and one on a Mac. Neither one has a problem printing. Only me. I also noted that after I downloaded and installed the new print driver, the printer did not keep my default print preferences such as flip on long edge or use draft quality print.
I checked known problems on this forum but didn't find my problem. As with most printer problems that stop you cold from printing, I need help as quickly as possible.
