My HP Photosmart 8230 printer will not print. I have been using it very satisfatorially for 7 years. Recently I had the same problem and after trying many help suggestions without success eventually discovered the problem was simply caused by a tick against Printing Offline in the printer's queue box. Again I have found the Printing Offline activated on several (not all) occassions but removing the tick now does not correct the problem.
I am using Windows 7. The HP Photosmart 8200 series box shows the queue of printing jobs normally but with Error - Printing under Status next to a printing job. What is the error?
The Main Menu > Tools > Print sample page facility of the printer produces a normal sample page indicating no fault in the printer.
Seems the problem is a lack of connection between my PC and the printer as would be caused by activating Printing Offline in Windows 7 but not corrected by removing the tick as descrobed above.
Any help would be welcome.
